@Sicarium Obama stopped a war, saved the U.S. from Bush's aftermath where the U.S. was losing jobs at a rate of 900,000 (literally just realised that this is 90% of a MILLION) job losses per month, brought unemployment below 8% in only 6 years, and I can give more :)
The state he inherited presidency in compared to the state he left it in is quite remarkable, but only to those who are willing to ADMIT and not try to cover up what he did

@luckranger71 giving Obama a Nobel based on good speeches so early in the Presidency left many with the impression he'd been at least partly given it. for winning the Presidency as the first 'black' man to do so. The tremendous enthusiasm Obama generated was partly to do with his race. If you think he raised race for 'no reason' then you are in denial of this obvious fact. To dismiss everyone who thought that as 'trump lovers' and get pissy at them, is an over stretch.

@CopperCicada I just find "nothing to do with race" a bold statement in the context. I think it was a factor of him winning the Presidency as the first black man to do so, his speech giving abilities as well as what he said in them.

@SW-User “left many with the impression” I’m sure it did to those who attributed Obama’s success largely to his race, and not to his drive, intelligence and accomplished academic and political background. Any American President who turned around the train wreck of the Bush administration’s policy in Iraq was likely going to be in the same position.
