The best in my lifetime would probably be Eisenhower. Trump is easily the worst president of my lifetime, or any American's lifetime, and he moves lower with every passing day. George W. Bush is in the bottom five presidents ever. Jimmy Carter is the best ex-President for what he has done with his post-presidential life.
