Instead of that, what about a contest to see who can call for a contest when all the words are spelled correctly?

@theoneandonlyeric There you go. :)

@progeo Oh. I see now. What is a fact, huh? OK. Have fun with that.
I think I'll still try to use proper spelling though. Maybe it's just a self-respect thing.
But feel free to use improper spelling in your day-to-day life under the auspice of "perception." That's your call. I'm sure "what is truth" will be the FIRST thing people consider. They probably won't think you're uneducated, lazy or not a native speaker. Good luck with that.

@Ynotisay lol. That was a bit of a rant. But has it not occurred to you, and this is fact, some people find spelling very difficult. Just as some find trigonometry, quantum physics beyond them. Through no fault of their own. That's all I am saying. You may be a wonderful speller of words but to belittle someone who isn't as blessed as you is not a nice trait.

@progeo I wasn't belittling anyone dude. It was a joke. I think the little smiley face made that clear.
I also don't think that good spelling is a sign of intelligence. It IS a sign of someone caring about how they're perceived and it does carry weight in "real life." On a site like this it only matters to me when it comes from someone questioning the intelligence of others.
This was an exception. It wrote itself.
