Though on a privately owned web site like that, none of us have any special rights to self-expression - except the right not to get arrested by the state.

Actually my dear, this IS the place to discuss politics... Just look at the Header at the top of your screen that says "Politics".

This website is here for the purpose of discussing whatever it is you want to discuss, assuming one goes to the correct location within the website to do so.

If you are looking to bring people together, you then are in fact the one who is in the wrong place to bring people together... try the "Community" section! That's where everyone goes to get stoned, hold hands and stand naked like groupies at a garden party.
