Nazism. Aside from racism etc, any positives as an ideology?

@Sarah123 don't forget that Nazism, was freeloading on social forces that it didn't create. The cornerstone of Nazism, "Meing Kampf" is a joke of political manifesto that only a failed painter could scribble while in jail after a tabern brawl. Much of what is claimed as the "unsung progress achieved under National socialism" is the result of brilliant German's work not because of Nazism, but IN SPITE of Nazism. Werner bin Braun didn't want to bomb England he wanted to go to the moon. Eventually he built the Saturn V booster that got us there. That's just one example of many.

What social forces? I thought nazism and the rise of Hitler was borne out of frustration and deprivation, i.e Germany wanting a change of direction after the mess of WW1.

German's were desperate for anything that would restore their national pride after the terms of the Versalles treaty left it's economy innruins, hyperinflation and unpayable restitution to the allies left Germany not only in hunger and prohibited from forging steel, building airplanes, and forced to import basic foodstuffs at ridiculous prices. The French and the British sowed the seeds from which any madman could reap the indomitable spirit of thr German people. So dire and humiliating were those conditions that if Zarsthustra had shown up offering a scapegoat and a way to regain national pride, Germany would have become the first Zoroastrianism ziggurat republic or something. Figure out the historical facts surrounding a fetishised ideology that proves to be even less worthy than communism before justifying and looking for virtue where there is none. Nazism is the attempt at giving the ideas of a bunch of ignorant resented and freeloading thugd a respectable name that could rhime with other -isms popular at the time
