Why is the right against free speech?

Seems like conservatives are the snowflakes, but okay.

Btw if we're not obligated to respond to idiots, I guess we can stop giving white supremacists platforms then yeah?

And black supremacists.

But that's the thing. Free speech means anyone can say whatever they like, even if it's dumb as shit or racist as fuck.

But, in regards to online, he is right, ya know. For instance, you can call someone and say whatever you like to them. But you have no control over whether or not they stay on the phone. That isn't included in free speech.

@Tatsumi Yeah, but their arguments on Twitter is usually "x left winger blocked me, haha hate free-speech censorship lefty snowflakes MAGA".

The thing is, actually, free-speech has limits anywhere. Technically laws against libel and defamation of character is a limitation on free-speech, and even in classical liberalism incitement to violence is not considered free-speech.

The right to free-speech was specifically enshrined so we have the power to criticize those in authority.

@basilfawlty89 Sure. I sympathize with all that. He's likely being hypocritical.
