By that first test, I’m also a left Libertarian. Wonder why we disagree so much ?

@bijouxbroussard Test probably measures questions on certain scale, and even though it's possible for two people to be at nearly the same spot, the specific issues and choices that got them there could be quite different. A lot of the questions are also dependent on what perspective you answer them from.

@bijouxbroussard It's mostly about how gov't should be ran. Social issues are a little more detailed and sensitive. You and I are also very passionate about our views.
@bijouxbroussard probably because left libertarians are always thinking deeply about nuances.. we see vast differences in small things.. also the questions in the test werent nuanced enough

@PinkPowerRanger I agree with that
example: the questions about ciminals.. it lumps them all together. i cant support the death penatly and believe in rehabilitation for most crimes. we all fuck up and deserve to redeem ourselves... but I also know serial killers and serial rapists and serial paedophiles cant be rehabilitated and should probably serve life or get the death penalty. but it was their use of 'try' to rehabilitate that made it hard to answer. of course we should always try if just to learn. theres a wide gap between agree and disagree. there should be a neutral option

@PinkPowerRanger Yes ! There were a few questions like that for me, as well.
quietlitany · 36-40, M
@PinkPowerRanger They had to exclude neutral, because it skews results. It's a research methods practice. Some study somewhere found that 1/3 of the population tends stick to neutral despite feeling a certain way about it.
@quietlitany makes sense. I think i am way more left libertarian than my results say.. its hard to not end up in the middle the more you think about something
quietlitany · 36-40, M
@PinkPowerRanger There's exceptions to everything, this is why I hate true/false lol
Xuan12 · 36-40, M
@quietlitany I could see that. I often say neutral, because questions are presented without contexts. Like how pandora pointed out, I can think the death penalty is appropriate in some extreme cases, but not others. That can't really be expressed by agree/disagree.

@quietlitany By the second test my closest match was Social Liberalism. No surprise there. 😅
