I could talk for years about how anti-working class the right is. everyone can be accused of that.

@CountScrofula Both sides are guilty but the left has been destroying the working class for decades now
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Firespirit If you're talking about the move to mass outsourcing and the death of American manufacturing, that was Reagan.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Firespirit Not to mention his famous wars against unions, which were vital in ensuring working class jobs had good wages and benefits. The great America of old was union-made.

@CountScrofula Yes if we reaching that far in the past but since the 70s it just has been getting worse Since the left changed in that time
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Firespirit Like Bill Clinton's 'third way' which was really right wing?
Firespirit · 26-30, M
@CountScrofula The right is not much better I will agree both sides want a divide.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Firespirit Yeah exactly. Republicans and Democrats all served the same masters. That's why Trump was elected and why Sanders is popular. I think Trump is just a different ripoff - it's not like the future for America is working in non-union coal mines.

But more importantly, what you're calling the left is not left. In Canada, Clinton would be a conservative.

@CountScrofula I am a classical libel myself so I know the trouble of the labeling issue Its not two groups its more dozens and each are either extreme or very biased
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Firespirit Yeah, I think an intrinsic problem in American politics is the two-party system. You're either liberal or conservative and that was always a fake split.

And extremism is relative - when the status quo becomes untenable, then every political position becomes a little crazy. Of cours eI'm an anarchist so who am I to talk? lol
Firespirit · 26-30, M
@CountScrofula Yeah the two party system is rather fucked I do like the electoral collage the usa has tho as it allows the small guy to have a vote and not be out voiced by the citys
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Firespirit Yeah you can't have full direct democracy or you get a tyranny of the majority. Parliamentary system seems to work -okay- in Canada but there are issues there as well.
