Pretty Good Summation of the Far Left (or Far Right in Terms of Need for Government Control)

Many still regard Marxism as a good idea that fell into bad hands, notably Lenin’s and Stalin’s. I prefer the view of Martin Amis, expressed in The New York Times the other day: “It was not a good idea that somehow went wrong. It was a very bad idea from the outset, forced into life with barely imaginable self-righteousness, pedantry, dynamism and horror.” It defied human nature, so humans accepted it only under threat of violence, which inevitably was applied. In the hands of bullies who wanted power, Marxism was a terrifying weapon.

It looks like the article's author, is stuck in the early 1950s. When he says "Many still regard Marxism as a good idea", whom do you think he means? I certainly don't see any mainstream US politicians, or world politicians for that matter, arguing that Marxism, is a good idea.

@okaybut The rebel media? Really? Here's an idea: they should learn how to write in English, and in full sentences, and for f's sake, do they have enough ED ads on that page?

BTW, a tweet by an NDP candidate, when Castro died, is not proof that world politicians are going Marxist.

As to your
Come to Canada....
statement. Thank you, but I already do and have a house there.
