Clinton campaign, DNC paid for research that led to Russia dossier

by Adam Entous, Devlin Barrett and Rosalind S. Helderman, Washington Post

The Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee helped fund research that resulted in a now-famous dossier containing allegations about Donald Trump’s connections to Russia and possible coordination between his campaign and the Kremlin, people familiar with the matter said.

Marc E. Elias, a lawyer representing the Clinton campaign and the DNC, retained Fusion GPS, a Washington firm, to conduct the research.

Fusion GPS hired dossier author Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence officer with ties to the FBI and the U.S. intelligence community.

There were so many blatant ethics violations during some of the previous administrations. It's overwhelming. Chasing this collusion fantasy has only encouraged more 'probes' and investigations of actual activities and behavior from the dems. So now more money will go down the drain because of the incessant poop throwing war between the left and the right. Heads need to roll for the uranium deal. That is high treason, but there are like six other chunks of poop, that are going to tie them up for the next couple of years, just like the collusion dream. Lot's of 'gotchas' and sensational headlines and wasted time and money.
@puck61 i agree with you. there are so many substantive issues that this whole collusion thing is a waste of time. it's the same story told again and again with one tweek here or there changed and everyone creams themselves. and we repeat it.
