Clinton campaign, DNC paid for research that led to Russia dossier

by Adam Entous, Devlin Barrett and Rosalind S. Helderman, Washington Post

The Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee helped fund research that resulted in a now-famous dossier containing allegations about Donald Trump’s connections to Russia and possible coordination between his campaign and the Kremlin, people familiar with the matter said.

Marc E. Elias, a lawyer representing the Clinton campaign and the DNC, retained Fusion GPS, a Washington firm, to conduct the research.

Fusion GPS hired dossier author Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence officer with ties to the FBI and the U.S. intelligence community.

I'm confused. I broke my media fast to check this out. This isn't actually news. It's the same old shit. Why is everyone creaming themselves? And why do we need to pretend to crank out new yarns to convinced ourselves these people are degenerate?

@CopperCicada What is news is that this is the first time it has been attributed to the DNC and the Clinton campaign. It also shows that McCain is in this up to his ears since he was the stooge that presented the fake file to the FBI which gave Obama grounds to get a FISA warrant which allowed the DNC access to the opponent's campaign in ways the Nixon could only dream about - AND THEY STILL LOST!
@hippyjoe1955 None of this is news.

People who consume media on a regular basis become fools. Tell them the same thing over and over again and it's new every time.

@CopperCicada The news is tying this to the DNC. Move along son you are little slow on the uptake sometimes. The herd left the range hours ago.
@hippyjoe1955 That isn't news bro.

@CopperCicada The lines are new. Do a little reading instead of complaining and you will see what I mean.
@hippyjoe1955 It's all long been established.

@CopperCicada If you say so. Now run along it is of no concern to you.
@hippyjoe1955 You're adorable :) Telling people when and how they know what they already know :)

@CopperCicada If you think so then it must be true.
@LvChris It's weird. I have people insisting this is all new as a newborn baby. It's weird how one part of a story advances one tweek and it's born again.

I have a friend living in DC. Used to be a lobbyist. I periodically talk to her about news and she'll sound off "new" "stale" "old". This is in the old bin.

@CopperCicada You seem to be missing the extent of the details that have been exposed. Try the Washington Post article then tell everyone that ALL this information was out there in the public mind.
