They were already here just coming out of the woodwork.
BethKCZ · 56-60, F
@cherokeepatti Yes. They see it as something they no longer have to hide. There are enough people who will accept them for being neo-Nazis. The disturbing thing is the atmosphere which has allowed them to be "loud and proud" now.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@BethKCZ Have you ever read the book "Rise of the Fourth Reich" by Jim Marrs? They came here after WWII and some were given government jobs.
BethKCZ · 56-60, F
Of course, through Operation Paperclip and a few other programs to get their scientists. They were given new identities to go along with it. However, the current bunch of Nazis - as seen in large numbers in Charleston and several smaller demonstrations around the country, are not related to the German Nazis. Most of the current bunch have several generations in the US - and they don't care one bit that their grandparents fought the Nazis in World War 2.

BethKCZ · 56-60, F
Throughout my childhood and early adulthood, I could not have ever imagined Nazis marching in the streets, much less have a president say "some of them are good people" as one of them ran-down a woman in the street.

The generation older than me were World War 2 veterans. Many of them fought in that war. Nearly all sacrificed things for "the war effort". Some died in that combat - including one of my uncles. When I see Nazis marching in the street, uncriticized, I feel they are spitting on his grave.

Some of my friends growing up had parents and grandparents who immigrated to the US right after WW2 as displaced persons from Europe. Many of them still had numbers tattooed on their forearms, courtesy of the NAZI regime. I've seen several of them - as many men as women - burst out crying at the thought of it.

As an adult, I've had coworkers who spent part of their childhoods in Nazi concentration camps - with numbers tattooed on them as well. The abuse many of these people experienced was horrible. Do the current Nazis also approve of child abuse? I guess so, as many of them have been convicted of assorted sex crimes with minors - and all of the Nazi child abuse was not sexual in nature.

If we do not stop this in the bud, it is going to continue to market itself until it becomes mainstream and gets in power. Then it is too late. It won't just be people of color, minorities, non-protestants, and gays who are their targets either.
BethKCZ · 56-60, F
@emptysoul44 If we don't nip this in the bud, we are going to have to "whip those assholes" again - this time, on our own soil.
emptysoul44 · 41-45, M
Yes I did I'm on your team! I think.... Lol@Vakex

Listen to Beth.

This is 2017. There may be a few with nostalgia for nazism or communism in the west, but their political relevance is zero.

@Vakex Do most Bernie supporters do this? Is this in Bernie speeches? No. Then your point is not relevant

According to some on here, everyone who voted for trump are nazis. And according to some others on here ,everyone who voted for Clinton are communists. I think the amount of nazis and commies has not changed..
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@FreeSpirit1 This is actually the best answer by far lol I can't even add to that.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@FreeSpirit1 I'm not a fan of Trump nor Hillary. I don't think most Trump voters are Nazis. My issue is with the Alt-Right which is a Neo-Nazi movement. They make up a tiny number of Trump supporters. Most Trump voters are decent people, ditto for Hillary voters.
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
I think Antifa and their actions stirred them up. We haven't heard nothing out of them in YEARS.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Dainbramadge what rubbish, antifa only became active this year prominently, people like David Duke and Richard Spencer have been active for years
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@basilfawlty89 Read it again rocket man.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Dainbramadge I know the history of it just fine, brightspark. Richard Spencer has been active since 2008, you righties have only been pissing yourselves about Antifa this year. They've been more and more active since way before Antifa started.

Also, Antifa is not an organization, it's a grassroots movement. There's no Antifa headquarters, anyone can be Antifa. They make it a crime to be against fascism and call yourself Antifa - there will just be a new name.

If you want Antifa gone, get rid of the Neo-Nazis. Your president removed the Neo-Nazis and KKK from the terror watch list. Remind me who have Antifa killed? Oh right, no one...what about the Nazis and KKK?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Which ones? The fake ones on the right or the real ones on the left?
@Vakex well, then we should have the discussion with the correct terminology. racialism, authoritarianism, eugenics, and so on. the subset of what is "nazi like" is much bigger than the set of "nazis".

@Vakex Fascism is by the measure of any political scientist considered a far-right wing movement. The left rejects traditionalism, nationalism (favouring internationalism), capitalism and domination of the church. Fascism is in favour of it. The left doesn't use palingenesis, the right does.

Anarchists are literally the opposite of fascists. You might want to actually read some books instead of relying on 4chan for info. Read Mein Kampf to see that piece of shit Hitler's views. Read Kropotkin to see the views of the actual left.
Shadowstep · 26-30, M
That started since Trump sat in office

No, they are out there but I assume they are afraid to show themselves as fear of being beaten to a pulp.
SW-User
@BethKCZ I doubt it.
BethKCZ · 56-60, F
@SW-User Really??? There are a couple of them in my town and several in my county! There aren't many people here.

@Vakex "muh both sides" change the fucking record. Antifa, BLM, Anarchists, etc never committed mass murder or genocide, nor advocate for it. Shove your sympathizer bullshit.
Some are fine folks 👍
