When someone insists on using childish name calling in a political discussion do you find it undermines your ability to take them seriously?

To be specific, i'm talking about people who feel the need to say things like libtard, hitllery and obozo.
Do you not get how ridiculous that makes you sound to another adult?

I'd list some things liberals say but i just don't hear those often enough for me to remember them off hand.

It is unfortunate that for some obscure reason, every egotistical idiot seems to reserve the right to be insulting, THEN claim they have the RIGHT to be so as that's how they CHOOSE their description of 'Freedom of speech'.

You tend to notice it more when one party starts spouting stuff that is often 'anti-' this or anti - that as Trump did during his campaign.

Always happens when folk have no ideas beyond the desire to see their choice get elected.
