What is the difference between Libertarians and Social Democrats.

I need to know for a U.S Government political identification essay, and I can’t find any information that answers my question directly.

Social democrats are in favor of socialism in a limited form within a democratic society, like having public roads or government sponsored post offices or a national healthcare system. Social democrats are considered part of the left politically.

Libertarians are for limiting the power of the government to allow maximum personal freedom, such as legalizing gambling, or not regulating or heavily taxing businesses. Libertarians are considered part of the political right.
