I saw that on twitter. I am not a fan of freestyle- and he has done much better freestyle. but he was trying to convey anger. And did that very well.
I am a big fan of his. I have all his Cd's.
But this was just a but in poor taste. Citing Colon did no good- and only caused divisiveness. And to have Colin LOVE IT on twitter made it all the worse. Colon is a pariah.
He made good points- but it was bad delivery and he said it badly- especially for him.

@Elandra77 Totally agree with all your points...he could have went a different direction with delivery
@ladycae Perosnally I have no respect for Colon. but I do Eminem- Eminem has gone about his art;craft-in a much classier way than Colon ever has his. he could have made his point about trump-and it was badly done- without elevating Colon or anyone else.
This was also the wrong time and place for Eminem to make this message.

@Elandra77 first of all taking the knee was not disrespecting the flag, veterans or our country. it was simply an expression that what that anthem says about the home of the free is not truthful and wasn't when it was written. the words are part of a tavern song and the melody was stolen. the national anthem wraps everything up in a pretty little bow and that does not make it either correct or true.
i love the us, i respect our veterans but our country is hardly the land of the brave and the home of the free. and it's getting less and less of those things as trump continues in office.
colin knew the possible consequences of his actions and has accepted them quietly and with dignity. that gets my respect any day. celebrities have always used the pulpit they are given for being famous to protest. watch any awards show. and some lose their jobs over it.
Eminem chose for what ever reason. who are we to judge whether it was the best time or place. it's like everything else. if you don't like it don't listen to it.

@ladycae We may as well cease this now as we will never agree. In this we will have to agree to disagree. The question was our thoughts on the rap- and it has turned into a discourse that I will not participate in.
You and I see the world, the USA in this case, much differently-and it will have to stay that way as we are both too opinionated and different in our beliefs. Ta-ta.
