@Lizabee All I can say with regard to the last election is that given nearly 300 million people in the US, it's amazing that we couldn't find two better people to run for president. Both candidates were highly flawed in their own way. I'd say the overwhelming majority of the people in the US were voting for the candidate they hated the least.

@NCCindy first 300 million people are not eligible to vote. Second, one flawed candidate got the popular vote and the other is potus.

@Lizabee Fair on the 300 million and until we decide to change the constitution, popular vote doesn't count, electoral ones do. I'm not in favor of the current rules, but the rules are the rules until they're changed !!!

@NCCindy I'm not and never have disputed the electoral college. There are many things that keep our electoral process being representative of the will of the people.

After most presidential elections I find myself asking are these really the best candidates this country had to offer? It IS getting harder and harder to determine who is eligible for what base on citizenship, alien laws and stuff like that.

@Lizabee in favor of the electoral college? Good for you! Inasmuch as it is adjusted as is congress based on census changes it does provide a nationwide perspective.

@NCCindy Exactly. Roughly 63% of the voters said they were voting for x because it was really a vote against the other. I would have voted for Satan himself rather than shrillary but I didn't have to go quite that low.

@NCCindy I wouldn't keep bringing up the 3 million who allegedly voted for the bitch giving her the popular vote when one considers she won calif by more than 3 million and we know they give credentials to illegal aliens and do not have any measures to ensure illegals are not voting in our federal elections. In fact, i believe they've given illegal aliens the "right" to vote in local and state elections. Any alleged popular vote win for the bitch just is not credible.
