Although you can't tie any one individual weather event to global warming, you can tie a bunch of them in aggregate to it. And what's happening is the weather is getting more and more destructive. That means more forest fires and more hurricanes.

In the past you'd have bad years, or bad couple of years. But we're onto the start of bad decades.

@CaptainCanadia You hit the nail on the head--it is the aggregate effects that we see that strongly support global climate change, not single events. Increasingly strong hurricanes, warmer annual average temperatures, shrinking glaciers worldwide, increased rainfall intensity, smaller arctic ice caps, warmer sea temperatures, sea level rise, and many other factors are all predicted to occur as a result of global climate change, and we are seeing all of them simultaneously.

The only good thing about the warming is that it has kept the next ice age wonderfully distant on the horizon.
I only approve of global warming in the winter 😉

@sogdianrock Thanks for looking up my user name. A blank slate was exactly what I was looking for here. It's also interesting because others can leave their impressions on it, too.
