Do you think President Trump should get rid of the DACA program?

@SW-User I think it would be cruel. Congress had better do their job, pass a law allowing these kids legal residency status and work permits. Only they can do it legally.

@SW-User lol I knew that, it's ok. I just wanted to be clear about my feelings on this because when you're citing the law it isn't always clear what you support. These kids did nothing wrong. I want them to be able to live here and work here legally. They should not have to fear being deported. But it must be done the right way, legally. obama did it illegally, which is why the courts invalidated his action. trump is correct to dump this in the lap of congress. They are the legislative branch, the ones with the authority to pass law. Everyone needs to understand that.

@katielass Trump and his team probably had ulterior motives to do this now. He wants a wall and he will expect congress to include funding for The Wall in any legislation.

@katielass Yes and I know his campaign promises. Trump began his presidential campaign on undocumented immigrants, claiming Mexicans were "bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists." "Likewise, tremendous infectious disease is pouring across the border."
