Do you judge an entire group by the actions of extremists?

By group are you referring to things like skin colour or are you referring to things like belief system?

@hippyjoe1955 Could be either. I'm using it fairly broadly here. A demographic like a skin color, or a religion, a political movement, a political party, etc.

@SW-User Well it would be silly to blame someone of 'harbouring an extremist simply because of his/her skin colour. Since the only thing shared would be skin colour. However politics and religion are something you choose and you can change. If you harbour an extremest because he/she shares your political point of view or religious point of view then you are sharing the extremism with them.

@hippyjoe1955 I agree with that and that's why I'm fairly vocal in denouncing extremists in any group that I belong to. I don't defend extremists; they're not my "brothers" just because we have the same political label or what have you. I would try and distance myself from them.

@SW-User I agree with you in the main however in eschewing extremists one must be careful that one is not being extreme.
