Is Trump's pardon of Arpaoi a presidential endorsement of racism and contempt of the law and the constitution ?

“With his pardon of Arpaio, Trump has chosen lawlessness over justice, division over unity, hurt over healing,” ACLU Deputy Legal Director Cecillia Wang said in a statement. “Once again, the president has acted in support of illegal, failed immigration enforcement practices that target people of color and have been struck down by the courts. His pardon of Arpaio is a presidential endorsement of racism.”

He was upholding the statues of Arizona. That is his sworn duty. So what's the problem?
@MrBrownstone for one thing he obstructed justice by not prosecuting some 400+ sex crimes against women including children.

@MrBrownstone He was violating racial profiling laws, was ordered to stop by a judge with jurisdiction, and refused to do so, so he was convicted of criminal contempt of court. Not too hard to understand. He's a convicted criminal. His duty to Arizona was not to break the law to achieve other sworn duties.

@MrBrownstone He was a racist asshole who just got pardoned by another racist asshole. That's the problem.

@RodionRomanovitch Thanks for providing proof.

@MrBrownstone you mean like confederate "statues" in Arizona? All by himself? That's impressive
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Northwest Did he write the statues?

@MrBrownstone you can't tell the difference between a statue and a statute? You're the perfect Trump voter.

That aside, it looks like you don't understand what it means to selectively enforce certain statutes, based on race, so I'll help you out. It's called racism.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Northwest Or selective protests. Nothing was said about this when obama was president. Time to stop being a sore loser.
@MrBrownstone i hate to say this but there are other motives in life than being pissed HRC didn't win. If you look into Arpaio his bullshit has been going on for years.
@MrBrownstone like.... the sabrina morrison case and controversy was under gwb's administration. the munnell leak and a bunch of other things about sex cases and abuse of power as far back as the beginning of BO's first term.

@MrBrownstone And there was plenty said protesting Arpaio's racism going back more than a decade. You weren't paying attention. The court order he violated was from 2011, for example. The reason he had a court order is that he was taken to court for racial profiling. Many people were paying attention to his crimes.

@MrBrownstone Obama was selectively applying the law, based on race? That's news to me, and the entire world. Sure look like the discussion is going way over your head.
