So among the things he promised are....(politics warning)

The border wall, a trillion dollar infrastructure package, affordable and high quality healthcare for everyone, increased military spending, NO cuts to medicare and social security, tax cuts across the board, and the reduction of the national debt (he said elimination, but let's inject some realism).

So uh...with all the increased spending and decreased revenue...how does the debt reduction happen?

Duh! Revenue will dramatically increase from millions more jobs being created as a result of tax cuts unreasonable regulations that cost companies millions etc. Buy not driving companies out of this great country because they can't make a profit here thanks to massive taxes and regulations. By stop wasting hard earned taxpayers money on unnecessary buuuuull crap like thousands of government high paid employees that are a complete waste of money and serve no real purpose whatsoever along with ALL the bull crap government programs that should be immediately shut down, by stopping the drug cartel in Mexico from making billions from smuggling their drugs across our borders that destroy people's lives and cost our country billions. On and on and on. I think that would be a good start and Trump is the only one that has the b@lls to try half of it.

@gregloa We need less local regulations and more regulations on outsourcing

Do you, like, snap your fingers or something?

@QuixoticSoul no you build a freaking WALL for starters.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@gregloa Lmao yeah that'll do it 😂

Dude it won't even make a dent. And ironically, if it does, the price of drugs will go up, as will the profit margins, and the situation will self-correct again.

You can't fix these issues with interdiction. It's basic economics, really.

The drugs won't be stopped by a wall. A kilo of cocaine synthesized in columbia for about $2 will sell for over $20,000 in America. That profit margin easily motivates nearly any method of smuggling. From the simple, like throwing it over the wall, to the complex, like sending it via submarine (that has happened, you can do a lot when you have a profit margin that huge).
