@Cierzo They really aren't. The scientific consensus is as strong as ever. The evidence and models get better every year. The results and predictions get more accurate every year. Unfortunately, it's also getting hotter every year, at a rate that we can't find anywhere in the geological record we have access to.
The only people "waking up" are the ones who aren't educated enough to have an informed opinion on the matter... and they just plain don't count.

If it makes you feel better, how *I* feel about global warming doesn't matter either - my education and professional experience has nothing to do with climate science.
Though when laymen make pronouncements and assumptions about my field it's pretty humorous too.
Experts are experts for a reason. When you disregard worldwide scientific consensus with decades of momentum - that's not woke. That's head-in-the-sand asleep.
