Should executions be televised?

In North Korea, when kids get to be 12 or 13, they are forced to attend public executions. Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran and Somalia also execute publicly.

The U.S. is #5 on the countries that execute the most.

Given the laws surrounding the death penalty here, should executions be public or aired on television?

No, it's a savage stone age mentality to do public executions. I don't care what they do in their own country, but showing it to the whole world is a bit too far-fetched. May be they just want the kids over there to learn a lesson of not doing what the ones getting executed did, but I guess it doesn't work that way as people are still getting executed for ages.
