There are so many people here I want to debate but at the same time I honestly worry if i'm wasting my time trying to change people's perceptions

Yes, indeed you are wasting time trying to change people's perceptions, and what is more, you have no right to change people's perceptions against their will. If I see any attempts (by you or anyone else) to change people's perceptions against their will, I will waste no time in flagging it as SPAM, because that's precisely what it is.

@NankerPhelge okay. I guess I read this differently. Speaking your mind isn't a flaggable offence.

@Serenitree I do speak my mind, but I don't try to change people's perceptions. If they disagree with me I may question them, but all that is is asking them to explain their perceptions to hopefully make me understand where they are coming from. But deliberately and wilfully trying to change people's perceptions is a form of SPAM in my eyes and therefore I will flag it as spam.

@NankerPhelge He said he'd like to debate people. If someone is willing to debate, then it's a mutual agreement.

@Serenitree Hmm. I am inclined to be suspicious of the word "debate". It is usually a euphemism for "argument", and that is only one step away from trolling. I think it's a lot better for us all if we hold on to our own fixed opinions and at the same time agree to differ when others express their own fixed opinions that differ from our own.
Serenitree · F
@NankerPhelge okay. Then that is what we must do, because you aren't able to sway my thinking.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Serenitree I have no intention of swaying your thinking, Serenitree. Who am I to even think I could? Your way of thinking is yours, and mine is mine. Life is better when people are fixed and unchangeable, whether they agree with each other or not. It helps to keep the status quo.
