Why is healthcare so difficult in the US?. Other countries seem to have not so much problem? I know nothing about healthcare....

@walabby Yes, that was the Affordable Care Act (ACA) a national healthcare plan under which millions of people who'd never had healthcare before had coverage. The Republicans could have chosen to cooperate in terms of working out some of the bugs regarding expense and exploitation by the insurance companies. But they didn't want to be seen assisting the former president. So here we are.

@bijouxbroussard I haven't really been following it, but I gather that all the compromises required to get it through congress, and past the senate, have rendered it a considerable mess... all done for politics and not for the good of the country?? True or not quite true??

@walabby Politics, basically. Their way or nothing, since they've been a majority. That's why Trump has said, if he can't get the plan removed, "let it fail". No spirit of cooperation.
