Does anyone really think Trump would do an okay job as president ?

I don't. I think America is screwed. We're better off with a monkey doing the job.
Please be kind. No cursing, name calling, etc. This is supposed to be a FRIENDLY debate.

I like the British political system

All politicians are directly elected through local constituencies

There are 3 mainstream parties and a handful of little no hoper parties so there are different agents.
There is a second house like the US senate but its unelected and made up of former politicians, business people, religious leaders etc so it creates an independent body which can review potential legislation without having to worry about being loyal to the party so they can keep their seat.

The head of state is a Queen but she has no political power so you have somebody who can always give a respectable face no matter how unpopular the government.
Also the prime minister has to every week go meet with her discuss the weeks business so the Queen can also advise the PM based on former experience... the current PM is the 15th since the Queen came to the throne.

So she has all this knowledge of what former PMS did and so she can offer advice which I think is a useful thing the elected PM makes the final choice but the Queen probably knows more about politics in England than any politician si she is a good person to turn to for advice.

The system I hate most is the Israeli system because there are just to many parties, only 2 of them are mainstream the rest are single issue parties there to join coalitions and gain a disproportionate amount of power.
The system is very unstable and about ever 2 years the coalitions collapse and there is another election and after the election same old faces are usually back just doing different jobs.

All the time there are new parties sprinting up most of them last 4-5 years and then merge with another party or dissolve because they lost all support but nobody wants to change the system because the majority of the seats are held by little parties and if there was a change then they would loose their jobs so I do not like the system it just does not work well

I love the US constitution but I do not like the system so much mainly because it is 2 party and so much of policy is really decided by lobbyists.
I am sure US gun laws would be very different today if it was not for the power of groups like NRA

When it comes to the 2016 presidential run I do not trust Clinton at all and Trump is unknown
I think though that Trump might be the best choice because he is not a traditional politician which is why he has been running such a bad campaign
As his background is in business maybe he might be able to fix the economy and he might have some new ideas especially because he is not a traditional Republican presidential candidate if he does a bad job then get rid of him in 4 years although to be honest I don't see him running again in 2020 because of his age and same with clinton.

I think that the best system is one when there is more than 2 parties but not to many of them
