Even Karl Marx would oppose it under the circumstances it was set out and under today's circumstances.
In his economic theory it is the final state ,after there is lot of resources and means for everyone, after capitalism provides those resources and socialism succeeds. And it is not a top down approach. The willingness to establish it comes from within the working class not the ruling class.

@Miram yes if they realised their own power but they don't so they live in fear and become obedient yes men/women
