And Trump just keeps getting closer and closer to impeachment!

It's getting harder for you little trumpettes to pretend it could never happen, isn't it?

Will he be impeached with a republican majority in both houses and hyper partisanship embedded within the culture?

He deserves it by any measure of traditional civility but we live in different times. I'm a Brit leftist who hates everything Trump represents but I am not sure he will be removed. Even if he was, it would mean President Mike Pence. That could be even worse.

@Burnley123 Every week, I think things can't get any worse for Trump, but then they do. His approval rating is continually going down--37% right now with 57.4% disapproval--and it gets worse almost daily. He is starting to lose some of his core support. I think eventually even the Republicans in Congress will come to the conclusion that their agenda will be advanced further with President Pence than Trump. The House of Representatives must draw up Articles of Impeachment, and the vote requires a simple majority. That would require a little over 20 Republicans to vote in favor of impeachment.

Once the president is impeached, his case goes before the Senate, with Chief Justice Roberts presiding. This is a more dicey proposition, because removal would require a 2/3 majority of the Senators present. That would be 67 Senators voting yes, assuming 100 vote. Since there are 48 Democrats who would presumably vote to remove, 19 Republicans would have to vote in the affirmative. This would be impossible to obtain at the moment, but who knows what the situation will be like in a few months or a year? Hell, with Trump, who knows what the situation will be like next week?

@windinhishair A key point of what you say is that the Republicans think they could get their agenda done better with Pence. The drama and incompetence are holding them back.

@Burnley123 A reasonable person would eventually come to the realization that Pence will be better than Trump for getting their agenda through. And if and when that happens, look for a shift in Republican actions.
