Why can't Democrats understand that socialism just doesn't work?

They should have learned their lesson a long time ago. Social Security and Medicare are two of the most unpopular government programs in our nation's history.

You know those are only 2 of dozens of dozens of social programs? And that there's no 100% capitalist country on earth and the all have social programs?
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@Cease Do YOU know that social programs are not at odds with a capitalist system? Free public education is a "social program" that benefits capitalism in that it was designed to produce an educated public who understood the workings of economics - which obviously failed in your case.

The Capitalism/Socialist argument is about government control over means of production.To say there is no "100 percent" capitalist system and think that somehow proves anything is fatuous...you should be old enough to know by now there is no "100 percent" (otherwise known as "perfection") of ANYTHING man creates. That's a child's argument that only states the obvious.

Try reading a book (yes, really, not watch a youtube video} about Otto von Bismarck or one written by Frederic Bastiat(who was a Freemason who believe strongly that social programs benefit society)or Ludwig von Mises.

Says the brat who has just spent an hour of her life vigorously agreeing with a spoof troll profile. 😂

@Burnley123 Ohhh...I am so hurt! How will I survive your oily English charm? By the way how long must you remain in your coffin to get that unhealthy yet typically British death-pallor as see in your profile photo? You rather look like a desiccated Patrick Mackay without the moustache, unless your photo is as faux as the rest of you. Oh by the way I have been told your pet name here is "Burnside" but didn't believe it because "burnside" used to refer to a form of beard and I feel certain your body never produced enough androgens during puberty for you to grow facial hair like a man.

I taken in by a troll? Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! I already dealt with that but will grant you know more about the subject of being a fraud than I do since you have already been taken in by the greatest intellectual fraudster in history, Karl Marx.

PS ~
Doesn't take me an "our" or an hour to demolish the positions of CCC and others of your ilk. Go get some sun!

@Abrienda My profile pic is Dave Gahan from Depeche mode. Next you will telling me your pic is fake too. 😂

Such a right wing snowflake. Embarrass yourself and then throw a hissy-fit.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@Burnley123 WHO?

And I am sure you know a LOT more than most men about "embarrassment"...you know what I mean?

@Abrienda I'm done here. Bye princess. 😂

@Abrienda Excellent job my dear. burnside thinks he's the smartest person in the room. But his babbling nonsense (uses way too many words and says nothing for those of you of the same ilk) demonstrate otherwise. His skill is that he cant finish one subject before retreating and focusing on another. But that's what losers do.

@Abrienda

Yes I do. Just because I think we should have more socialism I doesn't meant think capitalism is a bad thing. I never said that capitalism is bad is probably Anyone who does is probably doing it while sipping from a Starbucks cup while typing on their iPhone; both a product of Capitalism. Both work together well.

It's a childish argument for childish thoughts. Of course there's no 100%. Any system that came close to 100% on either side of that spectrum failed miserably. But I don't think you realize how MANY think that socialism is a purely evil and that the word itself connotates evil to many people in America. That's why I asked. In many people's minds, either one or the other exist, especially the for the few generations because rallying against the cold war. Millennials don't really have that irrational fear/hate of "socialism" but a growing have a tendency to think in the opposite extreme: an irrational fear/hate of capitalism.

I'm guessing you insinuate I only watch "YouTube" and never read as an insult so whatever.

@katielass @Abrienda Yeah, excellent job my dear. Burnside does what losers do. We on the other hand do what winners do, which is tell each other vague narratives about what our opponents do. Without citing anything specific to back up our narratives, which of course would be a sign of weakness.
USAalltheway · 31-35, M
@Cease No, all the socialist countries are like Venezuela and North Korea. All the free and prosperous nations have no social programs whatsoever.
Cease · 26-30
@USAalltheway Are you being sarcastic?
