MY STORM
(c) 2015 by Edward York
My life is sometimes like the storm,
With clouds formed overhead.
The clouds that are dark and scary,
And fill your heart with dread.
There are storms that cause destruction,
And gives us much to fear,
Not knowing after they have passed,
If another might be near.
But the storms of life are constant,
They test us every day.
They always make us worry,
Until they’ve gone away.
But like a ray of sunshine,
Just having you stand near,
Is like seeing a rainbow,
And erases all my fear.
When we can stand together,
As we travel down life’s road,
Your help is all that’s needed,
To lighten up my load.
