I Write Poetry
One Stormy Afternoon
Rain is falling down in sheets
It made me think of you
Of walking, soaked, hand in hand
Of love out of the blue
I can see us running like children
Splashing through the puddles
Kissing under dripping trees
Not cold, warm in our cuddles
I see us laughing, lost in joy
As thunder tries to beat us
We'll shake our fists right at the clouds
We two, none can defeat us
We'll take our time, no hurry now
To make our way back home
The elements can't slow us down
When we decide to roam
Inside the house, wet clothing drops
We'll sit before the fire
My eyes will drink your beauty
Your body I'll admire
I'll brush my lips across your eyes
I'll kiss your tender throat
Your hands will tickle down my ribs
Upon your sighs I'll float
As the fire inside us rises to match
The one before we lay
Whispered sighs become heated moans
Yet it's still words of love we say
Now our limbs are entwined in passion
We make friction, skin to skin
Soon we're screaming out our pleasure
Can we quench the fires within?
When the flames have burned to embers
We catch our breath and start to talk
I can hear that it's still raining
Want to dress and take a walk?
Rain is falling down in sheets
It made me think of you
Of walking, soaked, hand in hand
Of love out of the blue
I can see us running like children
Splashing through the puddles
Kissing under dripping trees
Not cold, warm in our cuddles
I see us laughing, lost in joy
As thunder tries to beat us
We'll shake our fists right at the clouds
We two, none can defeat us
We'll take our time, no hurry now
To make our way back home
The elements can't slow us down
When we decide to roam
Inside the house, wet clothing drops
We'll sit before the fire
My eyes will drink your beauty
Your body I'll admire
I'll brush my lips across your eyes
I'll kiss your tender throat
Your hands will tickle down my ribs
Upon your sighs I'll float
As the fire inside us rises to match
