I Write Poetry

Distant Memories
by: Rob Paquin

Like a distant memory
Floating across a dream

Every moment taken
Is another endless scene

Replaying like an echo
In a never ending stream

To awaken all the inner thoughts
That reside in me.

Like that fire's flickered sparkle
Sitting behind her eyes

With a thousand tiny cherubs
Flying through her skies

And like that smile upon her face
That never tells the lie

There lies a million distant memories
Of another time gone bye

Tell me how this makes you feel?

Where is this moment when it has passed us by?
Where is this breath, when we can no longer sigh?
Our future is NOW and this moment is but a treasured -past.
Let us carefully plan our memories.
How quickly where we are is where we've been.
Forever isn't just forever anymore.
And one lifetime will never be enough to spend with -you.

Hi. I'm not much of a critic. I write a lot of garbage. I don't often read other people's poetry. I'm always worried that pieces of other people's stuff will make it's way into my stuff.

The above is cool. Evoking thoughts of love and stuff. Love is another thing I don't know a lot about either.

Anyway, thanks for reading and commenting. Sorry I wasn't more helpful
