Forget to Remember

Ever forget who you are?

Strange feeling at that. The more I inch closer to the truth of the world. It’s like parts of me fall away. Like that’s who I use to be but it’s no longer needed. I’m healing.

And I remember who I really am.

I realize I am forever changing to some degree as dictated by my environment. Still easy to lose sight of myself and forget where I’ve come from. Those layers we shed are worth remembering.

@SpectralMourning What if the layers were just lies, false identities to hold us back from remembering. The journey is beautiful and the We along for the ride is beautiful, but we must let go of identities that hold us back from full growth. 😊

@Snow33 I agree with that as well. Sometimes they hold us back. Maybe we need to learn from our missteps though. Guess it comes down to how our mind processes it all.
