Been writing a poem for about a month now

I add to it when I think of another line. My friend said that writing is an incredible outlet for venting, anger, rage and frustrations. It’s called “what do you do?”

What do you do when you hate everyone and everything then it makes you feel like you want to die? What do you do when you’re tired of feeling like shit and it makes you want to cry? What do you do when you can’t feel the love anymore? What do you do when you can’t bring yourself to walk out the door? What do you do when you lie in bed and can’t sleep at night? What do you do when you can’t have a conversation without it ending in a fight? What do you do when you’re fed up with being in pain? What do you do when you feel like you’re going insane?

Rest. And focus on what you need to do. Other people have the luxury of dwelling on feelings. Other people don't because they have to be responsible for themselves and other people.

Then when you finally could afford it, rest and take a break. Go out to somewhere where you can forget the responsibilities. Fair warning, you may hate some people who weighed you down when you go back.

Because after giving yourself what you deserve, you might want those others to do what they have to do to be there for you. Communicate. Change them. Change yourself too.

Make life more bearable for you.

I like it. I can relate to all of it. You expressed the feeling well. I used to write a lot of poetry but there really isn't much interest these days. So I mostly gave up.

@soulshadow thank you. I can relate to what you are saying as well. I used to make art but not so much anymore. Just don’t have the motivation

I've been there where you are now. I hope you find a way "to break free", as your user name suggests.

@SW-User thank you 🙏

Don’t know enough about your situation to comment.
DisarrayedNightshade · 36-40, F
@therighttothink50 it’s ok. No need to comment. It’s a difficult situation. Living with an abusive narcissist.

@DisarrayedNightshade Only you know when it’s time to break free from that situation, good luck.

@DisarrayedNightshade I guessed that, because I've lived with 2 of them.
Just BE and gradually you'll feel better and find the restlessness walking away.
