I Write Poetry
Absence
by: Rob Paquin
Inside of all the absence felt
where all the darker feelings dwelt
where soul was bruised with halting welts
I think I saw you clear
And within the moment demons knelt
to lend to the forging, living smelt
when souls collide and blows were dealt
Your friends; a chandilier
To light the way so you can see
and from the demons set you free
to make a new found destiny
To wash away the fear
Stand up tall and come with me
to pick the fruit of friendship's tree
And part; they will, The desperate seas
and woe shalt disappear
