I Write Poetry
Feelings of Love
Seems so distant now
The new soul has replaced the old
The old tired and decayed before its time
The new one required without choice
These feelings you want
What are they good for?
Can they ever being better than the morning sun?
Or a winter storm?
Sometimes fate draws a line that we must follow
It might hurt you
But that is okay
Sometimes the pain gives you more joy
To be the hero
The one that saves people
A leader that serves
Creating connections that last
A touch of greatness through others
A touch, maybe even more
With Love, but you can never own me
Life, I do not need more
Seems so distant now
The new soul has replaced the old
The old tired and decayed before its time
The new one required without choice
These feelings you want
What are they good for?
Can they ever being better than the morning sun?
Or a winter storm?
Sometimes fate draws a line that we must follow
It might hurt you
But that is okay
Sometimes the pain gives you more joy
To be the hero
The one that saves people
A leader that serves
Creating connections that last
A touch of greatness through others
A touch, maybe even more
With Love, but you can never own me
Life, I do not need more
