I'll Bring the Rain

by: Rob Paquin

I'm here to bring the rain
I still can feel the pain
I just spiral down the drain
Washed away inside the game
and I still don't know a name

Deep within my brain
I know I've gone insane
I really don't like to complain
But after all the hurt that we attain
It's just so hard for me to constrain

I'm like a runaway freight train
One that no one can contain
So pull hard upon the rein
Use the strength of your disdain
There's no avail you'll ascertain

Because I'm here to bring the rain
And dance inside my pain
To slide right down that drain
For down is MY domain
With or without a name to name

I'm slicing through the chains
Left on the floor of the mundane
My feelings never feign
Though they may be a bit inane
And often are my truest bane

Understanding me might be in vain
As I send the rain across the grain
Quicker than the eye is your legerdemain
A guarded heart I shall maintain
With a hope that will remain

So here I am, I bring the rain
And I fight against my pain
I see the path beyond the drain
There's no winner of the game
A name is just a name

I'll accept all of the blame
