I Write Poetry
Mediterranean, 2015
Fortunate are those
who live by the sea
for there's no greater place
than a cemetery
Each sunlit island,
an engraved marble
As long as people
are being uprooted
from their Place
don't call me color blind
for seeing those waters as red
My ancestors were naïve
Τhe sea only gets ugly
at Ares' behest
Fortunate are those
who live by the sea
for there's no greater place
than a cemetery
Each sunlit island,
an engraved marble
As long as people
are being uprooted
from their Place
don't call me color blind
for seeing those waters as red
My ancestors were naïve
Τhe sea only gets ugly
at Ares' behest
