I Write Poetry

Ever since you left me,
my heart has shared the same fate as all your promises,
broken.

Your lies still ring in my ears,
haunting me during the starless lonely nights,
and in the darkness I can feel the emotions I still have for you,
echoing somewhere deep inside of my chest.

it's the closest thing I have to a heartbeat anymore.
