I Write Poetry

Blackened by the shadow of rejection I reached out into the abyss. Held to the transom, lashed to the mast. I reached out in the hope of a future, only to be crushed by your past. You stole that which did not belong to you and laughed as the stake pierced my heart.
Burned beyond recognition. How the pain lingers as I wear the bandages of shame. Never again can I look with promise. Your cold fingers squeeze the bandages to remind me I was but a fool. Laying now in an illusion of a tomorrow.
Blackened by the falling of my sun. You have taken my day leaving only darkness. Within you lays the dormant promise of rejection. But to look into your eyes you show the unlimited future. How can this tempest be so powerful and devastating. This storm overwhelms me. I feel lost is there escape from your wrath?
Burned from the molten rock of your deception. The flow seeps from your tormenting smile which covers my chard body. Bitter tears race down my face as I lay trapped in your tomb. Hope eternal is now my hope erased.
