I Write Poetry
Listen To It
When it’s quiet enough to hear a pin drop
And your fickle thoughts have just ceased
My hearts crying and it’s not going to stop
Won’t you listen to its mournful pleas?
My voice is coarse from crying for you.
My throat is raw from swallowing pain.
There’s just nothing I can say or do
To make you stay and be mine again.
You said I need time to think about us
I can’t believe something so small broke it.
I know I betrayed you, broke your trust
This is some Jersey reality show shit.
I’ll work till my dying breath to own your heart.
I am keen t see the day it belongs to me again.
I’m a werewolf and you’re a silver dart.
You’re my only weakness, my Wolves Bane.
Forgive me; I’m begging you on bent a knee.
I’m falling apart without you in my life
I’ll keep trying even if it’s not meant to be.
I’m starting to like to look of that kitchen knife...
