I Write Poetry

Solstice
Verdant trails alluding to,
A springtime blossom yet anew.
The choice alone is up to me,
A course to chart from which I flee.

Rhythmic waves upon my life,
Speak of things that cover strife,
Untold fortunes that draw me near,
Longing for your voice to hear.

It is fate to walk with thee,
As it is, for you and me,
The sand slips by evermore,
Logging days like once before.

The ridge I climb I cannot see.
The course has oft confounded me.
The moon shines high above my gate,
That marks my life and thus my fate.

Floorboards creak alone I stroll,
Taunted by a darkened hole.
For when the flame burns for me no more,
I’ll walk with you like once before.
