I Write Poetry

Simone de Beauvoir prays to Lilith

Curse me, Mother
For I have not sinned
But I still have to ask
for forgiveness

Disown me, Mother
For I am free
And being cremated
will be the sole reason I get burned
~~~~~
So the moral of the story
is that women are not moral
Because men start wars in their name
Because hurricanes have female names
They whisper the words
womb, breasts
They pronounce witch
as if it's a cuss word
~~~~~
Kill me, Mother
For I can live
I write, I laugh, I hate
I SCREAM

Punish me, Mother
For I'm a femme fatale
But with that I mean
I'm deadly

You lost me at the last two lines. Seems like maybe you wanted to end it but didn’t know how or you rushed it.... maybe you had more thoughts.

The rest of it seemed so steady and convicted. You knew what you were writing and you punished the page for being there. Your fire drew long strokes and burnt into it your feelings.

Then you softly lifted your pen and flew away like a bird.

@Brokenvegetable that's correct, I didn't really know what else to write and this poem kinda confused me but I still liked it 🙂
When writing from deep within confusion is your most representable tool to show your true feelings. Those that are worth your time will always react the way you intend them to.
