SILENT CRY - By Ruby
A cold hard rain
Washes gritty sand
Revealing fresh wounds
Of a dying bird
Her little beak part slowly
The beautiful bird, begins to cry
No sound comes forth
To comfort her pain
A dark foamy wave
Strikes her broken back
Twisting body
Into final resignation
Alone, cold, and exhausted
Fear and strength leave slowly
Acceptance of death
Stillness within
Spirit leaving mind and body
Dulled senses
The toxic warmth of helplessness
Quiet indignation
Lost desire, for love and life
A beautiful girl, sits by the fire
Her stone cold gaze, mirrors hate within
Her slender frame grows weak
Nourishment and love, no longer flow
Like the bird
The girl is dying
Pursuit of perfection
Twists mind and body
Into final resignation
Young, beautiful skin
Droop brittle bones
Dark gray circles
Round baby blue eyes
Her cracked lips part slowly
The beautiful girl begins to cry
No sound comes forth
To comfort her pain
A cold hard rain
Washes gritty sand
Revealing fresh wounds
Of a dying bird
Her little beak part slowly
The beautiful bird, begins to cry
No sound comes forth
To comfort her pain
A dark foamy wave
Strikes her broken back
Twisting body
Into final resignation
Alone, cold, and exhausted
Fear and strength leave slowly
Acceptance of death
Stillness within
Spirit leaving mind and body
Dulled senses
The toxic warmth of helplessness
Quiet indignation
Lost desire, for love and life
A beautiful girl, sits by the fire
