I Want to Share My Poetry
The virus claims but cannot win
As often comes within our life
a time of challenge and of strife,
but always someone will survive
and keep the human race alive.
Whatever fate can throw our way
It never lands and comes to stay,
Instead some of us give our all
So that the monster will surely fall.
If spring should come, and I’m not there,
but laid my head to rest somewhere,
then tell the life that grows anew
I tried to wait to be with you.
Should blossoms grow upon the trees,
and show their heads into the breeze,
and gambling lambs with vigour rise
to show the future that defies.
Where tide that come and tides that go,
With gentle waves that ebb and flow.
All of the life that’s in the sea
Though I am gone they still swim free.
The earth turns still and with each day,
The virus dies and fades away.
Mankind will learn that they pass too,
And we are only passing through.
In future days when all is done
And still is night and still is sun.
We keep our hearts that beat within.
The virus claims but cannot win
As often comes within our life
a time of challenge and of strife,
but always someone will survive
and keep the human race alive.
Whatever fate can throw our way
It never lands and comes to stay,
Instead some of us give our all
So that the monster will surely fall.
If spring should come, and I’m not there,
but laid my head to rest somewhere,
then tell the life that grows anew
I tried to wait to be with you.
Should blossoms grow upon the trees,
and show their heads into the breeze,
and gambling lambs with vigour rise
to show the future that defies.
Where tide that come and tides that go,
With gentle waves that ebb and flow.
All of the life that’s in the sea
