I Want to Share My Poetry

A last word.

The stench of death is upon you,
I can smell it seeping from your fur,
A scent I should not be able to sense,
A lamented life has occurred;
A mighty tolerance to pain,
By sight you look so well,
Indeed you know your time is up,
It is but a treacherous spell;
My child, you are so sweet,
My child, you are so warm,
My child, you are dying,
My child, why were you born?
Your beauty remains in memories,
Another world perhaps,
I see you in my dreams,
I believe I will collapse;
Your softest touch is missing,
Your just no longer here,
A paw no longer on my nose,
To tell me you are near;
I question your existence,
An answer is given not,
I'm waging war with an inner fear,
That you have been forgot;
My tears have drowned my pillows,
The darkness keeps me up,
Throughout the night I'm terrified,
That I sought to bring more luck;
I have flowed right into misery,
To stand I'd rather not,
I wish and weep before gods feet,
For you I asked to keep;
A last remark you must let me say,
Perhaps there are a few,
But the one I wish for you to hear,
My love is just for you;
