Unshakeable
My Son, the lessons in my heart
I’d like to pass to you
If I can save you from some sorrow
That’s what I hope to do
Please live your life with passion,
Wake with purpose everyday
Keep reaching for new goals
Life will be sweeter in this way
Be a man of action,
We all know words are cheap,
Fight for what you want in life
You must sow before you reap
Don’t worry what people think,
You’re the author of this book,
If they don’t like it, let them go,
The right people will come and look
Opinions, are just thoughts,
And not all thoughts are true
Think hard on what you hear
Trust you’ll know what’s right for you
Relationships need boundaries
Bad behaviour don’t abide,
Leave the disrespectful,
Keep your dignity, keep your pride.
Cheats, thieves, and liars,
Will only bring you down
Stay far from the violent
Nobody needs this type around.
Don’t use people for advantage,
Be a man, that does what’s right
Try to help and never hinder,
You'll be able to sleep at night
Give when you are able
Life will repay you I assure
Be content with what god gives you.
Be grateful, you’ll get more.
Learn, and try to be better,
Than the man yesterday
Stare fear in the face,
You’ll gain confidence in this way
Learn your lessons, move on,
Roll with punches, roll with the tide
Life is a rollercoaster
Look for smiles along the ride
Good friendships should be cherished
Make some time, or they will die
And family is important,
If you’re needed, be by their side
Be strong, but still show mercy,
When people challenge you,
Ask God to forgive them,
For They know not what they do
I hope these words can echo
And you move forward every day,
A man full of intention,
