Because you have it..

The strange thing that kisses you in the dark
pours honey on your waffles and
walks with you through miles of desert sand
Because you have the sun, the moon, and the stars
the evening tide breaks for your ears alone

I see a beginning starting with a morning breakfast. Where to go with the writing? I think it would be finding its tempo and rhythm.

@Lostpoet Well, coffee is certainly more bitter than the rest of your beginning in poem. I can picture in imagery how that works with the story you shared, but how to find that in writing together while keeping flow, I don't know?

@Lostpoet Just my mind at work, sometimes something being incongruent can work..... if that's the meaning behind and what you shared holds a certain kind of being incongruent.. But writing that in poem..... hmmmm.....
