I Write Mediocre Poetry

Look into the mirror to see if your soul is steady,
If you have the discernment to keep your soul ready,

For all the arrows and pitfalls which assault,
Are you afraid of always getting caught,

Murdering your conscience and wounding your pride,
Or would you rather get up and steady your stride,

The soul is the mirror for which everybody looks into,
The reflection we see either shows the darkness of being used or the light of being true,

It is up to us to realize wrong from right,
Not join the that group who keeps us in flight,

Deep down the soul will answer the question if you are just existing or really living,
A life built by light and which is driven,

Never wander from the soul and its reflection,
Because in the end, life is about introspection and finding that worthwhile connection,
The soul is your ultimate protection...
