Striving

If pride is a sin
I'm a sinner.
If losing's a win
I'm a winner.
A smile's just a grin
And, I'm a grinner
For the ruthless in life
I'm just dinner.

If hope were a product
I'd be buying
But the truth of the world
Is it's lying
And through all the tears
I've been crying
I see all the people
They're sighing

So I guess I'll just keep on
With the trying
Just shooting for goals
I've been eyeing
Even if their no closer
Or dying
You'll find me here
Still striving
